Earlobe Piercings Styles

The Lobe is on the lower section of the ear. The Earlobe Piercing is one of the most common piercings around and an essential to any ear curation! This piercing usually takes 6-8 weeks to fully heal and can adorn many different types of jewelry. Lobe piercings can fit Huggie Earrings, Flatback Studs, Bendable Hoops, Horseshoe Barbells, Captive Bead Rings and so much more. There are even more options if you decide to stretch your earlobe to a larger gauge size. Typical Earlobe piercings are done with a 20ga- 16 gauged needle. You can additionally stretch the piercing to well over 2" inches if that is your style preference for your curated ear.

Flat Piercing (Cartilage Piercing)

A Flat Piercing has also been known in the past as just a Cartilage Piercing! This piercing lays flat on the upper part of the ear, located between the helix and the anti-helix. Pierced with a 18ga -14ga needle, this piercing can take about 6 months to over a year to fully heal! Because of the thicker tissue, this piercing can take longer to heal. After that, you are able to switch your initial earring jewelry for Flatback studs, Threadless pieces, Hoops, and more!

Industrial Bar Piercings

Indeed, this piercing is actually two piercings that go through the upper cartilage of the ear! This piercing placement depends on individual anatomy which means some people cannot comfortably get this piercing. After 6 months to a year of healing, you are able to switch out your initial jewelry! This piercing can usually adorn only Straight Barbells, individual Hoops, and chains. Also, Industrial Bar Piercings are pretty versatile and look great with many curated ears!

Tragus Piercings

Specifically, Tragus Piercings are the piercing of the Tragus, which is right in front of the ear canal. It is above the lobe and is the harder cartilage section of the ear on the side of your face. It can also be a more painful experience for some depending on the thickness of your Tragus. After about 3 to 6 months, you can start changing out your initial earring jewelry. Moreover, this piercing can wear Hoops, Clicker Rings, Flat back studs, and Ball back studs!

Conch Piercing

The Conch Piercing is done in either the upper or lower Concha part of your ear. Conch piercings are more likely to become infected than earlobe piercings. They need special care and extra healing time (6 months to a year!) After taking care of your healing piercing, you can start changing your Conch Jewelry! Or even stretching the piercing like you do with the lobes! Furthermore, Conch piercings can wear Clicker Hoops, Flat Back and Ball back Studs, and more.

Rook Piercing

A Rook Piercing goes though the inner edge of the upper ridge in your ear. This piercing takes about 3  to 12 months to heal fully. The Rook piercing is higher on the pain scale than most other ear piercings. This is because the needle goes through thick and sensitive cartilage. All cartilage piercings need to be cleaned and taken care of properly to avoid infection and irritations. When finally healed, this piercing can adorn Curved Barbells, Clicker Rings, and other fun shaped Hoops as earrings!

Daith Piercing

The Daith piercing is located in the cavity of the ear, on a small, structure between the Tragus and the forward helix. This is similarly another anatomy based piercing that not everybody can get! After about 6 to 9 months of healing, you can start to adorn new jewelry. Daith Piercings can furthermore wear Captive Bead Rings, Clicker Hoops, Curved Barbells and more for the perfect curated ear!
